How to set the start page when

A friend, Paco Moreno recommended and help me to set up my company website since almost 6 months and I managed to set it up without much technical support and knowledge about websites, which is a plus for me. Since then I hav'nt found how to set a specific static page as the initial page to be displayed when accesing the site. Can anyone help me?

you can do this in 2 step:

1. select default page in StaticPage gadget:
   
   • in 0.8.0, you can easily goto StaticPage Properties Tab and selecting default page for this gadget.
   • in 0.7.x you must goto Registry gadget, and select StaticPage gadget and founding registry key "/gadgets/StaticPage/default_page"
     and set it to your page id in StaticPage gadget.
2. after this step goto Settings gadget and select default gadget as StaticPage

How are the banners used?
I loaded an .swf file on the banner menu but dont find how to display it, I tried from the menu but it says this gadget cannot be used.
Did not find any post regarding this issue.
Will appreciate help.

Add banners grouop to layout section in Layout gadget

I can't add the banners gadget to any section of the page layout, it gives me the following message:
"This banner does not have layout actions"
